The Montreal Bachata Festival is a three-day dance event taking place November 13–15, 2026 in downtown Montréal. The weekend brings together workshops, competitions, performances, social dancing, live entertainment and dancers from Montreal and beyond.

The main festival activities are in the Grand Salon on the 4th floor. You can reach the 4th floor by hotel elevators, elevators from the Complexe Desjardins food court, or the escalators near Complexe Desjardins.
Underground parking is available with entrances from Jeanne-Mance Street or Saint-Urbain Street.
No. The festival welcomes experienced dancers, beginners, first-time attendees and spectators. You can choose the parts of the weekend that fit your interests—workshops, competitions, performances, live entertainment or social dancing.

Door sales may be available for products that have not sold out. Because availability and pricing can change as the festival approaches, purchasing in advance is the safest way to secure access and usually gives you the best price.
A Full Pass is designed for guests who want the broadest festival experience, with access to eligible weekend workshops and the festival’s included evening activities. Exact inclusions can vary by product, so always review the current pass description before purchasing.

As early as possible. Festival pricing typically increases as the event approaches, and some products can sell out. Buying early gives you the best selection and avoids last-minute uncertainty.
Your purchase is associated with your registration information. When you arrive, go to festival check-in and have your confirmation and a valid photo ID available. Staff will verify your registration and provide the appropriate festival credential or access instructions.

A workshop is a focused dance class taught by one of the festival instructors. Workshops are a chance to learn new material, refine technique, explore different styles and train with dancers and teachers you may not normally have access to.
They are also one of the best ways to get more value from the festival weekend before the evening events begin.
No. You are welcome to attend workshops on your own. Partner rotation is common in partner-dance classes, although the exact format is determined by each instructor.
Recording during active instruction is not permitted unless the instructor specifically allows it. Many instructors offer a recap or demo at the end of class that attendees may be allowed to record.
Wear comfortable dance or workout clothing that allows you to move freely. Choose dance-appropriate footwear and consider bringing a change of shirt, water and anything else you need for several hours of classes.

Workshop access depends on the current pass products offered for the festival. If individual workshops are not listed as a ticket option, you will need the applicable workshop-day or festival pass.
We recommend staying for the full class whenever possible. If you need to leave early, please exit discreetly and avoid interrupting the instructor or other dancers.
There are no dedicated festival locker-room or shower facilities. Guests staying at the DoubleTree have the convenience of returning to their room between activities.
Shows, arrival times and what to wear at night.
Check the official schedule for the evening start time and arrive early enough to clear check-in and find your place. For popular shows, arriving 30–60 minutes early is a good guideline.
There is no strict dress code. During the day, comfort is the priority. For evening shows and social dancing, many guests dress up a little more—think stylish, comfortable and dance-ready.

Yes. The Montreal Bachata Festival has a host-hotel room block at the DoubleTree by Hilton Montréal. The current festival rate is $229 CAD per night, subject to availability, with a booking cutoff of October 13, 2026.
No, staying at the DoubleTree is not required. It is highly convenient, though, because festival activities run from morning into late evening. Staying on-site makes it easier to rest, change clothes and return to the event without additional travel.
Sharing a room with friends can also help reduce accommodation costs.
