Planning your festival weekend should be easy. Here are the answers to some of the most common questions about the venue, workshops, competition, socials, tickets and schedule.

01 When and where is the festival?
Montreal Bachata Festival takes place November 13–15, 2026 at DoubleTree by Hilton Montréal, 1255 Rue Jeanne-Mance in downtown Montréal, in the Quartier des Spectacles.
02 When are the workshops?
Workshops take place on Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15. Doors open at approximately 8:30 AM, with workshops scheduled from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Check the official schedule for individual workshop times and rooms.
03 What happens on Friday?
Friday is heavily focused on competition. Competitor check-in begins at approximately 11:00 AM, followed by heats, showcases and Phoenix competition programming beginning around noon. Awards are scheduled later in the evening, followed by social dancing until approximately 3:00 AM.
04 How late do the socials go?
Social dancing is planned until approximately 3:00 AM Friday, 4:00 AM Saturday and 3:00 AM Sunday. Saturday and Sunday include dedicated Bachata and Salsa rooms.
05 What do I need if I want to compete?
Competition registration and the Competitor Pass are separate. Every competitor must register for their applicable competition category and hold the required valid Competitor Pass. Review the competition information before registering.
06 Is the festival at the host hotel?
Yes. The festival venue and host hotel are both at DoubleTree by Hilton Montréal. That means you can attend workshops, shows, competition and social dancing without commuting back and forth to another property.
07 Can festival tickets be refunded or transferred?
Festival ticket sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable, non-exchangeable and non-transferable. Please confirm your plans and ticket selection before completing your purchase.
